Greatest Photography Magazine EVER!

I'm totally excited about the magazine I just bought from Barnes and Noble...but I just went on their website trying to get you a link and couldn't find it! So, here's the deal, it's probably a limited time offer and there's only as many as there is in each store. AUGHH! It's called "the Complete DSLR User Handbook" and it's a magazine/book with 200 (totally understandable) ways to become a better photographer. It's put out by the makers of PhotoPlus and Digital Camera - which are both UK companies! It was $25 and worth every penny! If you don't get to a Barnes and Nobles in time don't worry, I'm planning on putting the choice tips on the blog! But, it's definitely worth having!

Plus, did I mention it comes with a DVD with 140 minutes of Photoshop "stuff?"

It's totally cool.

It would also make a great stocking stuffer for someone you know interested in developing their skills.

Lisa and Shane's Wedding Pictures

This wedding was elegant. There were so many little details that I loved! Here let me explain through pictures:

I loved shooting at "Our Lady of Grace" in Edina...it is an absolutely gorgeous church with tons of interesting backgrounds for photos.

Lisa you were such a gorgeous bride! I don't think you stopped smiling all day...Not even when it poured!

Here comes the bride. Sometimes it's hard to capture walking down the aisle in a unique way. I love the lines, arches, contrasting black and white and the fact that it's a moment in motion.

The Sofitel Hotel and Dining Room is gorgeous and totally artsy. It's definitely one of my favorite places to photograph receptions!

I love this shot of the cake and reception...I don't know why...I just do!

One of my fav. subjects...make-up!

This is totally random...but, what's new? I usually give my brides a list of tips on make-up for the wedding day so I thought it would be fun to expand it a bit and share it with you! (This is always my favorite section to read in magazines.) NOTE: most of these I use personally and love them a ton.

Here's my recommendations/favorites for great products (have fun!)

-For facial cream - use what you're used to and make sure it has SPF 15.

-For bright, long lasting eye shadow that looks great on film - hands down - MAC Cosmetics! They have every kind of bold and subtle color...if you've never purchased their stuff it's a definite must!

-For crazy full, long lashes without fake eyelashes - Origins "Underwear for Lashes!" I love it...it coats your lashes with a white cream that dries and then you put your mascara over it! The results are remarkable!

-For incredible smooth skin I use the MAC Select Cover-up. It comes in a little tube but it lasts forever.

-For the "icing on cake" I love Bobby Brown Bronzer. Once you try it you'll know why.

-Of course, for weddings, I feel that fake eye lashes are a must! There is no other event in your life that you will be more dressed up and the center of attention - the closest we all get to rock star status! Even the cheapo kits do the trick! My only request is that you practice wearing them before-hand.

-For the lips, I like a subtle liner and a tinted gloss. My fav's are the Lancome Gloss and the MAC Glass.

-For mascara, I've read countless reviews (including Oprah) that say Great Lash is the best. It's cheap but it works! So, why argue?

I can't wait to hear the comments on this blog! Common girls...give me your tips!
