Pictures...Capturing People and Emotions!

I remember when I went to WPPI this past March I kept hearing about developing a style and "look" that's unique...These past few weeks I've taken pictures of my growing nephews in South Carolina, vacation, the Morrison6, my newborn nephew in Canada and then yesterday I did an engagement shoot. I'm realizing more and more how important pictures are. That's a funny thing for a photographer to say, eh? But, it's the truth! Every stage and the emotions that go with each are precious and pictures help us to hold on and remember. There's something extremely special about capturing a moment that will never be repeated.

I'm honored. The Morrison babies Bennet, Tryg and Lincoln will never be forgotten...and I had a part in that.

I don't know I have completely figured out "my style" but I know my heart is to capture the emotion of the moment. I love seeing people smile, ohh and ahh or not be able to say anything at all when they see their pictures for the first time. There's no better profession as far as I'm concerned.

So, on that note...get out your camera and take some pictures! :) or call me and I'll take them for you.

Father's Day with the Morrisons!

Today was another emotional day. Ryan and Brianna came to church with both sets of Grandparents and both of their families. They were completing surrounded by family! It was an amazing opportunity for the Bethany Community to come around them and love them knowing it was the hardest week of their lives. We grieve with them and for them. We hope they feel our love and support...we are so proud of them. The adrenaline is slowing and I'm amazed what a fog I'm in. (Lack of sleep does that.) Matt and I are taking it easy and giving each other lots of hugs...and grace. Something tramatic like this helps us realize how much we have and how blessed we are.

Thank you for praying for the Morrisons!

The amazing thing about loss is that you feel like you're all alone and then realize that so many have walked this path before you...and survived the pain. Thank you to everyone who has written encouragement, volunteered or given gifts to the Morrison family. They are grieving, but feel blessed. Even though there's a lot we don't understand about the loss they've experienced and why...we hold fast to the truth that God is good and His mercy endures forever. Keep writing your comments and praying for the precious family. They are so brave...I can't even tell you how brave. When everything has calmed down I promised to read Brianna all of them.

To Canada and back...for the sextuplets.

This has been one of the hardest weeks of my life. My heart was torn in so many directions. I came back from my vacation late Friday night, unpacked and cleaned Saturday, the Morrison6 were born on Sunday. I was at the hospital Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

For months I have been planning to go to Canada for my sister's 30th b-day party and for the arrival of my new nephew. (Who was named Tayus - pronounced the was its spelled Tay-us...cool eh?) I was supposed to go from Wednesday to Saturday. After being at the hospital on Tuesday with Bennet...I didn't want to go anywhere. Brianna insisted and I left on Wednesday for Toronto. Leaving was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I felt like I couldn't win: being a bad friend for leaving, being a rotten sister for coming with such a heavy heart - and to top it off Adriah bawled when they dropped me off...so I felt like a bad mom too! I cried (really hard) the whole way to my gate...when I checked my luggage, through security and everything. In the end, I knew I needed to let go and trust she was in good hands.

Wednesday afternoon (3 hours after I got there) Matt called and said, "I know I said I thought you should go but, now I'm saying come home." I was heartbroken again; for Brianna and my sister.

I came home last night after spending just over 24 hours in Toronto. I'm tired and totally spent - but there's nowhere else in the world I'd rather be. Please keep praying for my friend and her babies.

I want to say thank you to all of Bethany Church...you have been an amazing support to the Morrisons, and Matt & I! We love you!

These are a few pictures we are releasing. Please continue to keep the Morrisons in your prayers.

Ryan and Brianna reveling in the birth of six children...only they know.

Getting to meet Lucia Rae for the first time.

The nurses and doctors at Children are incredible. They have one nurse attending to each baby 24 hours a day. The love and care they pour over the kids brings me to tears every time I'm there. I kept saying "thank you."

Sextuplets - My thoughts...

I wasn't going to blog anything more today but, I changed my mind. Every news station and paper is wanting a story on this incredible couple. Here's my story on them... From the moment they found out they were having six babies they have dealt with people's criticisms, comments and concerns. Ryan and Brianna have held strong to the truth the God is the giver of life and being blessed with 6 is a gift they would receive with joy! I have watched Brianna through every stage of nausea, bloated feet, stretching/sore tummy, medical procedures and bed rest...I can safely say she is one of the bravest people I have ever known and I am so proud of her!

Ryan has amazed me. He's been at her side showering her with love and providing for her ever need at step of the way! He is a wonderful husband who desperately loves his wife. This is just a couple who wanted to have kids. And this process has turned them into my heros. I love them dearly. I'm happy to know they are doing well and their babies are receiving the best care available. The doctors and nurses at Abbott and Children's have been incredible.

Thank you for your concern and prayers.

The Sextuplets have arrived!

Wow! Life has been crazy over the last 2 days. I have barely slept...let alone get a chance to blog! My dear friends Ryan and Brianna Morrison had their 6 beautiful babies on Sunday. The incredible thing is I was just came home from a 16 vacation and then fly to Canada on Wednesday...so thankfully I can be here for Ryan, Bri and their families. More then that I get to witness this miracle unfold before my eyes. I was given the privilege of taking pictures through the whole process. As I receive permission from Ryan to release the pictures, I'll add them to my upcoming blogs. Until then, if you haven't read it yet, here's the press release:

Here is the news Press Release:

(MINNEAPOLIS, June 11, 2007)*Sextuplets born to Ryan and Brianna Morrison of St. Louis Park were admitted to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota just after midnight.

Four boys and two girls were delivered by Cesarean section at nearby Abbott Northwestern Hospital at the end of Brianna Morrison’s 22nd week of pregnancy.  Brianna Morrison is in good condition, recovering and resting comfortably at Abbott Northwestern.

The births took place between 11:23 and 11:25 p.m. Sunday.

The girls are named Lucia Rae and Cadence Alana; the boys are named Bennet Ryan, Tryg Brenton, Lincoln Sean, and Sylas Christopher.

They are in critical condition, ranging in weight from slightly less than 11 ounces to about 1 pound, 3 ounces.

Ryan Morrison offered this statement on behalf of his family:  “The babies arrived sooner than we’d hoped for, but we are optimistic.  Brianna is doing well.  Thanks to all who are praying for our family.  We are very happy to be parents.”

Ryan and Brianna Morrison understand the interest in their children; that is why they’ve chosen to share this information.  Now, they turn their entire focus to each other and their children.

At the request of the family, Children’s will issue no more information until further notice.

THIS IS AN AMAZING COUPLE with AMAZING FAITH! Keep them in your prayers.

Updates on Morrison Sextuplets!

Today Brianna has reached 22 weeks and the babies are doing AMAZING! I had a long conversation with her over the phone...cause I'm still in South Carolina having a wonderful vacation! She's in great spirits even if she is getting too big to move around. If you'd like to see pictures from the pictures Ryan's taken these past two weeks check out Morrison6.com...the hospital room, Brianna's belly, and life on bedrest!

Last week she had a quick ultrasound to check the heart beats and all are strong; within normal range! Baby F moved the entire time and has the fastest heart rate! We can't wait to meet this little girl. :) The technician said she's the most photogenic...I know we'll be good friends!

Next week she'll have another 2 part ultrasound (Wednesday and Thursday) we'll learn how much they've grown! Those updates are always my favorites! Of course these updates will be on www.WCCO.com/morrisons.

FUN FACTS:

1. Brianna is doing so well that when the Doctors make their daily visits conversation is about her new pictures and the state of her room rather then needed medical procedures! That's great!

2. She's feeling movement almost all the time...constant interaction with her little ones. Brianna told me she had a revelation, "This is the only time I'll be able to hold all my babies at once!"

3. There are 2 other women currently pregnant with Sextuplets (in Arizona at 29weeks and Florida at 16-ish weeks).

Sextuplets at 20 weeks!

This was a week of firsts for the Morrisons... 1. Ryan and Brianna had their 2nd anniversary. They celebrated (in the hospital) with Redstone barbeque ribs take-out and chicken flatbread appetizer.

2. Sextuplets are now 20 weeks.

FUNFACT #1: Babies permanent teeth are starting to form behind baby teeth!

FUNFACT #2: Eyebrows are formed!

FUNFACT #3: Their hair is beginning to grow!

3. Ryan had his 24th birthday.

4. Brianna's stopped eating Targets Archer's Farm brand of salt and vinegar and now she craves Cheerios all the time!

5. Babies are moving all the time! Ryan felt his first kick (or punch!) from Baby C!

The next ultrasounds are in two weeks! Stay tuned for more exciting news about the Morrisons.

Sextuplets on WCCO 10pm news!

Brianna and Ryan made the news once again! Click here to see the news segment. Their story is going to be an ongoing WCCO project so we'll be able to watch and see the Morrison's through the entire process. Here's the 19 week pictures:

We love these babies...

This is her beautiful belly measuring just over 40 weeks. We were laughing that if she would've had just one baby she wouldn't have had stretch marks...good to know, but not good to dwell on!

Sextuplets Ultrasounds - Part 2

Sorry about leaving you hanging but, I finally talked to Brianna and got the rest of the details from this weeks ultrasound. Baby D - Boy - is a whopping 10+ ounces and measuring 19 weeks and 6 days.

Baby E - Boy - 9 ounces and measuring 19 weeks and 3 days

Baby F - Girl - this is the littlest and most active one at 7 ounces and only measuring 17 weeks and 5 days. The doctors aren't concerned cause even though she's alot smaller then the rest of the kids she's always measured the smallest and continues to grow. Plus, she's still within normal range and there's plenty of time for her to catch up! But, having said that, Ryan and Brianna have asked that everyone following their story pray for this little one to get the nutrients she needs to catch up with her brothers and sister!

Sextuplets UPDATE!

Brianna is 19 weeks and 1 day pregnant with Sextuplets...SIX BABIES! She "survived" her first of two very long ultrasounds today and I have some fun stats to report on! At first glance the ultrasound technician thinks they are having 4 Boys and 2 Girls. We'll know more tomorrow when they scan the other 3 babies. It's all very exciting!!!!  Here's the results:

Baby A - Girl, measuring 19 wks and 1 day, around 9 ounces (weight) and 8-9 inches (length).

Baby B - Boy, measuring 19 wks and 3 days, around 9 ounces and 8-9 inches.

Baby C - Boy, measuring 19 wks and 3 days, around 10 ounces and 8-9 inches.

AND I'm happy to add that all 3 have healthy, thriving hearts, brains and bones!

FunFact: If all the rest of the kids measure the same range, Brianna will have 4-4.5 feet of baby in her belly right now! CRAZY!

As far as names go, they aren't telling until the babies are born! They had 3 girl names that they were pretty set on but, they'll need to adjust them now that they may be having more boys.

Brianna, Ryan and the babies are doing very well! Keep praying for their growing family. To find out how you can get more involved: www.morrison6.com

Sextuplets are 18.5 weeks!

We took Brianna out for a little spin during our visit this week. It felt like we were in the movies and planning our escape, but walked right out the front doors wheeling Brianna and the six babies! Adriah loved having someone to push around. img_3644-small.jpg

We went into the center courtyard at Abbott to get some sun and fresh air! Brianna stood (she doesn't do a lot of that anymore) and did a little posing. Her belly is a perfect basketball! Even though she's eating all the time, she's still losing weight...and that's frustrating! So, she needs to eat more!

img_3628-small.jpg

Here's how you can tell we're good friends...I asked her to show her belly in the middle of a very public area and she did! I think it's worth it. :)

It's weird to think that at this stage in my pregnancy you could barely tell...i was still in the "I feel fat" stage.

img_3638-small.jpg

Brianna will have 2 ultrasounds this week to measure the babies growth. One to measure babies A, B, and C and the other to measure D, E, and F. For a pregnant woman with one baby it's a long time to be on your back, so measuring 6 in one sitting is out of the question.

img_3635-small.jpg

Ryan and Brianna were interview by WCCO and the interview should come out next week! for more updates and pictures of the city-wide shower go to www.morrison6.com.

Sextuplets on WCCO News

This evening a news crew from WCCO are doing an indepth interview with Ryan and Brianna! I don't know exactly when it will be aired, but I'm sure it will be soon. I'll keep you posted. Brianna and Ryan are getting into a comfortable routine at Abbott Northwestern Hospital! ( I found a little history on the hospital I thought was cool!) I've heard that their nurses and doctors are absolutely wonderful.  The other day Brianna's doctor asked her if she wanted anything from Starbucks for their meeting the following day...it made Brianna's day! When you're lieing in a bed 24-7 it's the little things that make you smile!

Brianna has recovered very well from her surgery last week and I'm happy to report all 6 babies are growing at an incredible rate...but, so is her pour little stomach! She eats all the time and even then, she's always hungry! I'll be visiting tomorrow and will be bringing my camera to capture the sextuplets at 18 weeks! Look for updates on: www.morrison6.com

More pictures to come: www.noemiphotography.com

Sextuplets - 17wks

Brianna and Ryan went to Abbott Northwestern Hospital earlier in the week for a routine procedure that helps the babies stay in her uterus. Brianna is doing very well and if she keeps improving they're hoping to spend a few more days at home before being re-admitted. The doctors aren't making any promises, but we can pray.

img_3424-small.jpg

Adriah and I ventured over there for this weeks pictures! She loves Brianna and Ryan :) Here Adriah is telling everyone that Brianna belly has SIX babies!

img_3425-small.jpg

Melanie and Brent Balken (Brianna's wonderful parents) were up from Fond du Lac visiting! AND of course they were happy to make they're debut on my blog!

The picture below features - the incredible family of EIGHT! Aren't you thankful Brianna and Ryan are willing to share this journey?

Ryan, Brianna and the Morrison Sextuplets!

Ryan and Brianna are just over 17 weeks pregnant with 6 babies! During a routine check at the Doctor's office this week they found out that: two are girls, two are boys, and two are still a mystery. If you haven't yet check out the ultrasound pictures on their website. I stumbled across this picture of the "newlyweds" back in the day and had to post it! They are beaming in love and a gorgeous couple!

City Wide Sextuplets Shower (FOND du LAC, WI)

I'm amazed at the generousity of normal people! Not the obviously rich, but those who have a little something to give and chose to because their heart is moved! I have been shocked by the overwhelming response the Morrisons have received! I talked to Brianna yesterday and at the shower this weekend they received:

-6 pack-n-plays

-3 of the 6 carseats

-Digital video camera

-Tons of clothes!

-And more...

Some who attended the shower know Ryan and Brianna personally and some had never met them before...it doesn't seem to matter. We can all see that this is miracle and we're happy to be a part of it!

We could focus on what they still need, but instead I thought I'd relay how blessed Ryan and Brianna felt! I'd like to add my thanks to everyone who has taken the time to go to www.morrison6.com and fill out the "How To Help" inquiry.

I'm smiling...excited to be playing a small part in this! I can't wait to meet these little ones!
